March 22, 2006
When you write (especially doing revisions) and you second-guess your changes, I've come to the conclusion that you should leave it alone and let it stand as is and move on. Which is what I've done on my revisions to part 1 of Yesterday's Innocence - The Learning Curve. I want to finish the polishing/revisions by April 1st. Then, move on to part 2.

Always listen to that inner voice. It knows better than any one else. I often find if I ignore it when I write and it's screaming about an awkward sentence, one of my editors will say, "Uh, Marci, what's this suppose to mean?" I laugh when I read that because I knew it was wrong.

When you return to it, what needs to be changed will be apparent.

Good luck!
